Britain's shortest-serving prime minister, launched the first edition of her YouTube show with a pledge to unmask "malicious actors" attempting to undermine Western democracies. Truss elaborated she would lay bare how an "worldwide alliance of progressives function to subvert the democratic process and the electorate's mandate."

"Our focus will be on the Maga phenomenon and observe how this can be accomplished in Britain," she said. "We will interview the prominent voices of the Make America Great Again campaign."

Establishing Ties in the Maga-Verse

This marks a humble beginning, but in partnering with Solomon, the former PM is being thrust into a well-developed political media sphere producing and amplifying Make America Great Again themes. Central preoccupations involve accusations of information control by the established press and a goal to dismantle a shadowy government apparatus – a force that the ex-PM holds responsible for the rapid conclusion of her short and troubled leadership.

"Just the News is not well-known beyond the Maga-verse, but it does have credibility there, mostly due to John Solomon, who offers opinions on pro-Trump shows like Bannon's 'War Room' podcast and has even interviewed the former president," said an anthropology expert, who has closely studied the Trumpist political wave.

A Controversial Partner

Her effort to import the pro-Trump media model to the UK has pushed her closer to controversial figures such as Solomon.

He founded his media outlet following scrutiny after he was accused of pushing misleading narratives about Biden's anti-corruption work in the Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about ex-ambassador to the region.

Solomon's reporting were amplified within the conservative press, with the journalist featuring as a frequent visitor on the widely-watched Fox News program. The former president personally promoted Solomon's reporting.

The journalist published the allegations regarding Ukraine in a series of columns for the publication the political newspaper, where he had already been re-designated as an opinion writer after colleagues complained regarding his reporting. Solomon's own broadcasts have frequently included figures such as commentator Mike Benz, a rightwing influencer whose disparagement of the US Agency for International Development was cited by Elon Musk as grounds for dismantling the foreign aid agency.

A Global Media Play

Although the former PM's unnatural presentation and career difficulties have invited ridicule within the UK, some US observers are taking seriously her attempts to reinvent herself as a UK offshoot of the pro-Trump media ecosystem.

"One must regard folks like that seriously, even if you may not want to take them literally," stated a former Biden White House aide, who was employed in the Obama White House.

"You saw how in 2024 Donald Trump used that alternative press to spread his narrative. Certainly that sphere spreads and shapes debate internationally. It seems relatively clear to me that the conditions in the UK are akin to what allowed this parallel press sphere to flourish here."

Alan Finlayson, said the internet-based conservative network was already making its presence felt in the United Kingdom.

"Digital media knows no borders," Finlayson remarked. "There is a certain milieu within which stuff flows – at times appearing in harsh versions and other times more moderately – but which is interlinked."

Hinton said the rise of the internet-based right wing in the United Kingdom recently meant the "chance to have a larger effect is considerable."

A Transatlantic Ambition

"The former PM and the Reform UK leader recently appeared at the CPAC, where I saw they deployed Maga talking points before the {king of Maga|
